SUBMISSION DEADLINES:
8/31/26: DUE DATE FOR ENTRY
Full-color preliminary concept (approx. 16" x 12")
OR finished piece (22"x 30" or 30" x 40")
9/2/26: Selected finalists will be invited to submit full-sized paintings on
30" x 40" canvas or 22" x 30" watercolor paper
9/30/26: Full-sized images must be submitted in person to the Jessel Gallery
10/5/26: WINNER ANNOUNCED!
Selected by a jury including Bill LaLiberte, Janis Adams,
Jessel Miller and Thomas Bougetz.
ENTRY FEE: $30 first submission, $10 each subsequent submission
Submission must be your original painting in a traditional art medium (oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, colored pencil)
No photography. No AI. SUBMITTING ARTISTS MUST BE NAPA COUNTY RESIDENTS
PHOTOGRAPHERS! Photo-Finale's Annual Juried Exhibition will be accepting applications later this year. Full details will be available on the Photo Finale website.

WHY ENTER?
As the winning artist, your image will be on all NVMC products, and you will be the star of many events from January - March. WINNER BENEFITS: • 50% of the sale price of the original artwork • 20% of poster sale revenue during the 3-month event • Featured artist demonstrations on Jessel Gallery's Opening Weekend (February) and Demonstration Weekend (March) • A starring role in premier events throughout the valley • Showcasing several additional works in our 3-month gallery exhibition at the Jessel Gallery RUNNERS-UP EXHIBITION Even if your piece isn’t chosen as the official poster, selected works will be featured in a gallery show next year. By submitting artwork to the Napa Valley Mustard Celebration Poster Competition, the Artist grants NVMC the non-exclusive right to reproduce the submitted image for marketing, promotional, archival, and event-related purposes, including posters, printed materials, digital media, social media, and branded promotional items. COMPENSATION TERMS • The Artist will receive 50% of the sale price of the original artwork. • The Artist will receive 20% of all poster prints sold by NVMC. • The Artist acknowledges that no payment, royalty, or usage fee will be provided for the use of the image on branded vendor products, merchandise, or promotional items created for or associated with NVMC. • The Artist agrees that NVMC may use the image without additional usage fees for any promotional or branded materials related to the celebration. Even if you are not chosen as the NVMC official artist, Jessel Miller's goal is to give artists the opportunity to be featured in Jessel Gallery's January - March art show. Jessel will select the pieces for this show from all the work submitted and will contact you directly.
